Please considering the following questions in the instructions.
Make up some difficult of interesting parts of writing if you need to.
instructions:
One half of your portfolio will be a reflective cover memo, addressed to anyone looking at your portfolio. This memo should be less about specific pieces of writing (as the annotations are) and more about your work as a whole this quarter. It should be a story of change, of how you developed as a writer in this course. You might try responding to some of these prompts (but you will not have space to respond to all of these):
What was your best piece of writing this quarter? What do you think made it work so well? How is it better than other things you composed?
What was your process of writing like? Did you find writing blog posts more or less difficult than previous school writing? Why do you think so?
What do you think you learned about yourself as a writer and/or blogger in this course? What kind of writer are you? How do you know?
What is the most important thing you learned about writing and/or blogging this quarter?
Which rhetorical strategies did you feel were most useful in composing your blog posts?
What were some difficulties you had with writing this semester? How did you work to overcome them?
In what ways has your understanding of your chosen topic changed as a result of reading and blogging about it? Did you change your mind at any point about some issue?
What do you know now (or know how to do) that you didn’t at the beginning of the semester?
Remember: this is not a checklist, but rather a list of prompts you might use to get you into a reflective mode. There is no single, “correct” way to produce this reflection, since it has to do with your own processes, and will therefore be unique to you. This letter should follow the standard conventions of letter writing (such as beginning with “Dear Reader” and ending with “Sincerely” and your name), and it should also come to about 750-1000 words in length.

My writing process has not changed much through many years of my schooling. I have maintained a simple and straight forward approach to writing. It is critical to ensure that I am excited about the topic I am writing about. As a result, I engage in extensive research to ensure I understand the topic well. Usually, I do not like writing under pressure. Hence, commence writing early enough where I have adequate time to explore the topic. I never entertain the thoughts of procrastination.
Music, coffee, and lighting a candle are important aspects of my writing. Before I begin the process, I normally play some R&B music. To avoid being distracted, I keep the volume of the music as low as possible. In other words, I allow the music to play on the background such that I can listen to it while at the same time thinking of what I should write about. Moreover, I love taking coffee while putting down my ideas. I usually have a cup of coffee to keep me active during the entire process. Coffee, being also my favorite drink ensures that I am in the right mood to write. You won’t miss a cup of coffee on my table while engaging in writing. Additionally, I light up a candle while writing. I do this to ensure that I remain focused on the task ahead. When I feel like I am not getting good ideas, I can stop writing and stare at the candle. Here, I get adequate time to generate more ideas.
Writing down ideas that flash through my mind is an important component of my writing process. My iPad assists me in writing down all the ideas that flash through my mind. I discovered in the past that while writing ideas would keep on popping up on my mind but soon disappear once I do not write them. Hence, taking advantage of the iPad, I do not lose any idea that comes to my mind, no matter how minor it seems. O...
