Explain the plea bargaining process.
In many criminal cases, most parties prefer resolving the cases out of court by coming to an agreement the process is commonly referred to as lea bargaining process (Batra, 2015). The most common type of plea-bargaining is the charge bargaining whereby the defendant avoids going for the trial by pleading guilty to a lesser charge (Batra, 2015). Plea bringing requires the defendant to do something in return for a lesser charge, and if he fails to comply with the agreement, the prosecutor can revoke the offer through court (Batra, 2015).
