Even though philosophical concepts remain largely hidden during research, they have a massive influence on research practice and should be identified. When writing about worldviews, the researcher might include different philosophical worldviews, including the postpositivist, constructivist, transformative, and pragmatic worldviews. The postpositivist represents the thinking after positivism, puzzling the traditional concept of the absolute truth of knowledge. It holds a deterministic philosophy that causes dictate effects or results.
