This is a personal reflection essay for a social work class. The requirement are below:
Family of Origin Assessment: Personal Reflection Essay (20% of final grade)
Students will write a personal reflection paper. Students should use the micro-mezzo-macro approach to discuss themselves (as the micro individual) and how their mezzo and macro environments influenced their decision to become a social worker. This paper should be 2-3 pages in length (not including title and reference pages). This paper should include:
1. A Timeline: Create a timeline illustrating critical individual, family, community, and world events, e.g., loss of a job, moves, losses, births, deaths, successes, failures, wars, natural disasters, and onset or marked changes in illnesses. Are these events normal developmental or traumatic events, e.g., Hurricane Katrina, which upset the balance of the family? Note also gaps or unexplained, missing data that can suggest important issues.
2. Written Assignment: In a separate 2 to 3-page essay, discuss aspects of your family history presented on your timeline that are of significance to your decision to become a social worker. Consider the following questions in your paper:
a. Do you notice any patterns or particular events of interest in your family history? What are they and what do you make of them?
b. In what ways do you anticipate that your family history will affect your practice as professional social worker?
c. How, if at all, do you think your family of origin is affecting your choice of profession?
Please note: Share only what you are comfortable in sharing through this project. Timelines will be handed in with the written assignment, and all will be kept confidential between professor and student.

Here are some information that you may need to complete this essay:

I born in a wealthy family in China, my mom is a business woman that runs a lot of companies while my dad works in a university as a dean.
They have really huge social network and all my life at early age was planed by them( eg. which school I go to)

My parents don’t believe mental health is a thing and they try to force me to study hard in some ways. Both of my parents came from a poor family and studied hard and worked their way so they believe study is the only thing I need to focus.
3.
Though my parents love me but they tried to control my life. You watched on what kind of food I eat , what kind of clothes I wear and what kind of friends I was making.
4. My parents have some serious relationship problem within them so they believe that I should not make any mistake on that. When I’m in relationship with my boyfriend, since my boyfriend is 10 years older than me. They were really upset and forced me to break up with him though I did not.
5.
I went to the US for college at the age of 18 and this is a completely life changing event. I no longer have my parents tried to control me and I changed over time. As time went by, they started to compromise and understand that I as a completely independent person did not get to choose my life and my parents and they should not control my life.

6. I was really depression when I was young because of my parents’ suppression on me and I was super anxious and unconfident. But I started to change as I grow up, meet different people and went to different environments.

You can make up any story you want, it is better to be as specific as possible. Just make sure that you include those information I provide and make story based on these information.
Also, this is a social work class so make sure you know what social work is.
You need to make a title yourself and it’s better to be creative
