Oppression is the cruel treatment of authorities, while discrimination is the prejudicial treatment of different groups of people by sex, age, religion, and race. The number of immigrants in Canada is more than the United States and other developed countries. Just like other states, Canada saw its non-British and non-French immigration as a way of strengthening the economy. However, people here are not treated well, especially the French, Chinese and Hindi speaking individuals. Both the government and locals take them for granted and push them behind the competition in one way or the other.
