The impact of the United States Occupation safety and Health Act (OSHA) is improvement in safety and health. OSHA gives guideline to employers to furnish employees job and places of employment that are free from potential hazards (United States, 2003). It states that employers shall meet the health standards and occupation safety. It provides for each employee to comply with health standards and occupation safety. OSHA is used in circumstances where there is no standards applicable to a given hazard, hence, thus is the best alternative at this circumstance. Thus, OSHA provides for standards in situation where there no specifications to be used, thereby ensuring improved health and safety to employees.
As per the Occupation Safety and Health Administration, the industry group that is cited most for general duty clause is the construction trade (Hillstrom et al., 2015). The statics showed the falls from the construction trade to be the leading cause of fatal injuries. Violation of OSHA ranks high up the list, fines and penalties collected are also high.
