Motivation at the work place has changed. Change has been the norm. Additionally, the level of motivation among the employees towards the set goals has changed. This may lead to a rise in dissatisfaction and decreased productivity. Thus, there are various techniques to be used to motivate the employee for the above job description. First and foremost, the employer should be keen on little things in order to motivate others (Fielder, 1996).
These small things will illustrate that the employer respects his/her employees. The employees should ensure that they are time during meetings, using expressions like “thank you” and “good morning” regularly. The employee should also return e-mails and phone calls on time. This gives the employees an implication that the employer cares. Secondly, the employee should be an active listener in order to offer motivation to employees.
