I need module 4 a brief paragraph John answer is provide. He and I are both chemical depency counselor majors. I am following my original goal by wanting to be a good professional counselor. 
Each module is getting me closer to my goal. My personal experience is a plus in the field, I think. I see I can put myself in more and more of the work we are doing. However, I know and understand it is about the client and not me.

Confidentiality in a group set-up can be extremely complex. However, the most reliable approach to reinforcing confidentiality is through trust. For instance, in the counselling field, the counselors must develop a trustful relationship with the clients. A counselor should make the client confide in them, knowing the information revealed will only be used by the counsellor in the course of their duty (Doweiko, 2015). For group sessions, confidentiality is more complex, because it involves a moral understanding of confidentiality within the group. In most of the group sessions, it is a requirement to sign a contract that has paramount information regarding keeping the group sessions private and maintaining overall confidentiality. Nevertheless, the signing of a contract is not a guarantee that the group members will maintain confidentiality. For this reason, counselors should take the initiative to educate the group such that they understand confidentiality beyond signing a contract. They will then take confidentiality as a personal responsibility, thus maintaining ethics (McClanahan, 2014).

It is important for the substance use disorders counselors to be aware of the happenings in the support group. As a counselor, the ability to answer the how and why questions in a client’s life are made possible by getting involved in the happenings of the support group. The knowledge is useful to the family as the counselor updates them on the client’s progress. Also, knowledge of the happenings in the group treatments has demonstrated high outcomes in controlling effective support group therapies as well as overall effectiveness and efficiency (Doweiko, Concepts of Chemical Dependency, 2012).
