Death and dying are unavoidable life experiences that are encountered by every living thing. The knowledge of the exact time that one may die is also elusive. Technology has afforded the knowledge of when one is dying, which defines the process of death as a transition. This knowledge impacts on people differently, and it causes them to change their behaviors. The knowledge of dying impacts on an individual psychologically and this brings about the changes in behaviors that are, hence, observed as life changes. When a person learns that they are going to die, their view of the world changes. The feeling of running out of time and not being sure when one will meet his/her end influences the psychological state of a person. Life ceases to be normal for such an individual. They focus their life on things that are important to them so as to get the joy arising from the satisfaction of success.
Personally, the knowledge of dying can make me perceive the world differently. This is in that all activities that I carry out should meet my interests. Reorganizing priorities to achieve what someone considers important to them is crucial to meeting the interests. Things that seem important in the society structure such as maintaining a sustained life may seem less important.
