The existence of insecurity in a country can slow the level of economic development of such a country. Without security in the country, there cannot be any meaningful development in the country. Security is an encompassing factor that is of benefit to the individuals of a country, the entities, communities and the nations. The use of the Geographical Information system is one of the ways that can be used to solve problems such as insecurity that affect the country.
However, much as we want to implement the use of GIS, there are also other challenges that will face the implementation of such a program, and as such, it may cause difficulties.
