* Responsibility is the action of an individual being in control of an action, or duty assigned to them. When a person is responsible, they have the power and authority to determine its success or failure without necessarily explaining the outcome. Accountability is the condition of being answerable and liable for actions conducted by others accountable to you or decisions made whether wrong or right. An individual becomes liable out of the responsibilities bestowed on them (Bivins, 2006, p. 20).
* Ethical and value-based leadership necessitates a leader that displays appropriate conduct through their actions and their relationships. Such leaders first, implement personal behaviors that are acceptable and suitable, thereby acting as role models for their followers. Secondly, they uphold two-way communication with their employees and use it to justify their actions and push for their adoption. Thirdly, they outline the acceptable code of behavior and reward those who oblige. Moreover, they determine the repercussions of their choices and use them to make decent choices (Mihelic, Lipicnik & Tekavcic, 2010, p. 33).
* An individual becomes responsible and is held accountable by; holding the value relevance. Value relevance is the determination that their value weighs on their ability to do something right or wrong. Secondly, value judgment determines that an individual has the capability and access to materials that enable them to make various decisions. Thirdly, is value sensitivity, which determines an individual has the control to make different decisions depending on their worth (Pettit, 2009, p. 98-99). Violation of these factors causes wrong actions as there is no one to be liable, violation of regulations and ethics occur and loss of control.
