After the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, Osama Bin Laden stated that Al Qaeda was warranted to carry out the attacks. He cited that the people were not innocent since their taxes were used to fund the activities of the American government (The Atlantic, 2014). As a result, he indirectly gave a go ahead for Muslim countries to fight against anyone they believed was an enemy of the Islamic countries. He justified acts of terrorism and continued to support other similar groups to fight. Zernike and Kaufman (2011) states that the attack strengthened his terrorism network and now he could continue uniting the military groups.
