The moral characteristics I would like to see in employees in healthcare settings
The moral characteristics I would like to see in healthcare employees’ settings are moral courage and confidentiality. Moral courage requires a person to have unwavering commitment to essential ethical principles regardless of risks involved while confronting unethical behaviors. To make sure healthcare employees have moral courage when unethical challenges arise, the organizations and healthcare agencies should articulate, act and encourage adherence to shared values. This way, moral behaviors will be expected and welcomed. Secondly, the employees should have confidentiality on clients’ information. This is because where confidentiality is assured, then communication is promoted. Confidentiality also is connected to respect and human dignity (Laura, 2013).
