Once you have completed your research, return to your group to complete your post. In your initial post, be sure to:

        Provide your two items of data and give a written description explaining in plain language what the information means (for example, “poverty is increasing among urban children”). You may cut and paste text (be sure to use “quotes”) or tables from source web pages. Be sure to cite your sources!

        To wrap it up, apply at least one sociological theory that explains the patterns See Section 9.4 in your text. In addition to Functionalism and Symbolic Interaction, you may use Conflict Theory as well. Refer to Chapter 1, section 1.3 to refresh your understanding of these theories.

Note: Analysis is the process of breaking a complex topic into smaller parts and then investigating the relationships of these parts to each other and how they work together to make up the whole. Don’t forget to use terms, concepts, and information from your text.
