Human resource is a function in any given organization that is designed to maximize performance of the employees in the service of the strategic objectives of the employer. It focuses mainly on policies and systems within the organization. HR is concerned with organizational change and industrial relations including the balancing of organizational practices with requirements arising from collective bargaining and government laws. In other words, human resource is simply the management of human resources. An organization can get competitive advantage if its human resource functions are well executed and aligned with its mission and strategic plans.
What are the primary functions of a human resources department in the 21st century?
Recruitment-HR is responsible for hiring human resources to fill up available positions. Training and development-recruited employees need to be trained and developed in order to produce maximum performance.
