Influence of Nature on Career
In the future, my dream job is to become an environmental sociologist where my focus would be on understanding the social lives of people under different contexts of their communities. Sociology provides a deeper understanding of human beings and the effects of the environment on their overall wellbeing. As a result, natural resources form an integral part of human life, thus greatly impact their relationship. Therefore, natural resources significantly affect the understanding of sociology, hence plays a critical role in human behavior.
Firstly, natural resources impact human lives because people tend to move towards areas with greater resources. Most people prefer to live in areas with large bodies of water or forest areas due to their need to access the products of such resources easily. Consequently, communities develop around such places, hence human interaction increases not only with other people but with the resources (Lockie, 2015). The scarcity of resources can cause conflicts; therefore, understanding the community requirements can assist the responsible agencies in coming up with solutions. As a sociologist, understanding the impact of such social interaction with the environment can show various aspects of their coexistence.
