Child Protective Services and Logan’s Experience
There has been a heated debate in the recent past about what is the appropriate measure to take to ensure there is a balance between saving a child and destroying a family from which the child is to be taken from. "Failure to Protect" is a story of a girl by the name of Logan, who lost her life as a result of the negligence of Maine's Child protective services (Failure To Protect, The Taking and murder Of Logan Marr Frontline, a PBS Documentary, 2017). Child Protective Services workers were supposed to give Christy Marr counseling services and from time to time visit with her to check any improvements. On the other hand, the Department of Human Services ought to have given Christy Marr a listening ear to present her side of the story to counter the allegations brought forward against her, which in fact had no substantial evidence to back them up.
