Sexuality and Racism
The aspects in the definition of sexuality reveal distinct racism whereby whites are free of scrutiny while other races live under the oppression of continuous observation. The moral issue shows how different groups like blacks and Asians are engulfed in continuous observations in all perspectives of their lives. Also, the populations live in various limits in actions and matters like gender possession and instances like change. For example, a white has the freedom to undergo a certified medical process for gender change. On the other hand, having a black in a similar situation would raise controversy in the community since the group does not hold the ultimate control of their lives. The whites might also behold a dominant character where they think that weaker races, like blacks and Asians, should not have relatively comparable levels of freedom (Fung 181). Hence, whites believe that races like blacks and Asians should be scrutinized since they do not possess any degree of freedom in the definition of sexuality.
The origin of racism in sexuality lies in the impact of modernization and the thoughts by whites that races such as blacks do not have originality in the issues, and they copy their ideas. Although the action is morally wrong, Western societies do not cease the idea of slavery due to the superiority complexity in their race.
The relation in the wrong and weird perspective is revealed in the incidence of a man getting ready to undergo surgery into becoming a woman. In this case, the western society does not feel bad or offended by the action, and people go to the extent of having a party to celebrate the occasion (Chu 3). The individuals attending the party reveal the ideal feelings of loss for the man since he is just about to lose the very aspect of manhood into adopting womanhood. What a weird generation in the described community? Announcing the issue to get the party done shows that anyone in the community is free to do anything, as far as they are comfortable with what they want to do. Also, their social norms do not pull individuals down by limiting what they should and should not do. The whites are not obligated to any standards, and they have the freedom to do anything they want, including colonizing other races. The marginalization limits the weaker referred races, whereby they lack the privilege of doing most of the things done by the whites. On the other hand, the whites can undergo all procedures in the...
