6-1, 6-2, 7-1& 7-2 my post Name Institutional Affiliation 6-1Anxiety and substance disorders tend to occur together at a high rate fostering various unique challenges. First, the treatment efforts presently utilized for the two disorders are parallel to each other. Thus, causing difficulties when treating a patient as the two treatments have to be integrated. Second, treating such patients using prescription medication increases their risk of abusing the drugs and engaging in risky behavior (Brady, Haynes, Hartwell & Killeen, 2013, pp. 410-413). 6-2 The treatments of obsessive-compulsive disorder include; use of prescription medication such as antidepressants that include clomipramine, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine, and sertraline. Physiotherapy is another treatment method whereby doctors expose patients to a situation they hate and by utilizing various techniques, stop them from engaging in their typical compulsive behavior (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 2016, pp. 4-5). Additionally, psychosurgery can also treat the disorder in patients who fail to improve despite using the other methods by operating on different parts of the brain such as the anterior cingulate to provide relief. 7-1The correlation between personality disorders and substance use according to Goretti, Sanchez, Borja, Rivera, and Lara is that personality disorders increase the vulnerability of an individual to abuse various substances and develop an addiction.
