In his book titled Inspiration and Incarnation, Peter Enns can be found wondering how far it is possible to be one of the evangelicals and to have academic integrity when the scholarship results are predetermined from the outset (Enns, 2015). The author takes Mark Noll's The Scandal of the Evangelical Mind as an example and claims that the issue of the evangelical mind is that we are forbidden from using it. Originally published in January 2012, Peter’s book generated much buzz among Christians. He affirmed a position called theistic evolution and provided a sufficient number of examples regarding God’s existence.
Peter Enns argued that God was responsible for directing, supervising and overseeing the evolutionary process and that the development of different life forms was done as per the rules and regulations set by Him. However, Peter’s opinion is hard to believe: theistic evolution has long been used by Christians to hold to the semblance of Scripture’s integrity.
