Main argument
The main argument of the article is that God is the center of all the theological ethics of Christians. He is portrayed as the redeemer and creator (Pope, 2005). It also focuses on the relationship between nature and the natural law.
Key concepts
Among the main concepts is the fact that those who belief in this God end up having affirmed the fact that great wisdom lies behind the natural world and what I revealed in the scriptures. The scripture is a written record of Gods communication to human beings hence, the main source of theological sources. Therefore, understanding this fact will play a substantial role in comprehending what the author puts across about God. The natural law has borrowed some concepts from scriptures.
Assumptions
One of the assumptions made by the author is the fact that the scripture is the only source of theological ethics. Research shows that there are other religious books used in the study of theological ethics (Selling, 2016).
Reactions
The author's argument is convincing because the Christians depend on the scriptures to differentiate between the things that are ethical and those that are not. According to the natural law, what is considered to be ethic turns out to be true when common sense is applied. The scripture's revelations are the real world happenings that are in turn, considered to be part of the common law.
