One of the key takeaways from my interview is that race is still prevalent in contemporary society. The world has been grappling with the issue of race for over 200 years now (Bonam et al., 2019). Numerous campaigns have been carried out to end racism. However, it still persists in our society, albeit to a less extent. It is not only astonishing but worrying that the world has not been able to deal with this issue for all those years. According to Bonam et al. (2019), the world has become ignorant about racism. However, becoming ignorant does not eliminate the problem; it entrenches it.
