Myth 2: Cherokee believed that Dayunisi created the world.
Who were the main characters involved? What was the process?
Myth 1: According to the Mayans, Tepeu and Kukulkan summoned other gods to create their legacy. They first made man from mud, the wood and later on maize.
Myth 2: The Cherokee on the other hand believe that Dayunisi dived into the water and came out with mud to make the earth. He created mountains and valleys using his wings. The first people who came to the earth were brother and sister, and the brother hit his sister with fish and told her to multiply and she became pregnant and would give birth every seven days.
