Faith Integration/Reflection paper

Essay Instructions:
Faith Integration - 10% Choose one of two concepts for the semester: welcome and/or presence. Begin to journal about the integration of this concept into your experience with patients, your learning about yourself as a person and a clinician. There will be many sources you draw from for this assignment, including course readings, your clinical encounters, your thoughts and reflections, your spiritual life - readings, religious services, prayer, etc. Don't postpone this journaling work - many times your insights will be fleeting - and should be captured as soon as possible. You won't be turning the journal in, but will write a 2-3 page reflective paper summarizing your journaling for the semester. Welcome/Welcoming In Luke 9:11, Jesus welcomed the crowds who followed him before he began to teach them about His kingdom, and to heal them. What does it mean to welcome patients into your clinic, your clinic room, into the provider-patient/family relationship with you? How do you prepare to set such an atmosphere? What barriers exist? Does it matter what else is going on around you or within you? What are the potential outcomes? You may incorporate the concept of presence with that of welcome if you wish.

However, when not in good mood welcoming a patient is only procedural thus not winning his confidence to unveil all reliable information about his ailment.
In the bible, Jesus welcomed the crowds who followed him before preaching and healing them. In this scripture we can learn that people are more attracted to an individual in regard to how he welcomes people. Thereafter, Jesus’ disciples wanted the crowds to be sent away to find food but Jesus declined the idea and was able to provide food to them. Therefore, with a welcoming kindness one is able to view the other person as himself and is able to help him in a more diligent manner.
On the other side, in a family setup having a welcoming heart has helped me to live happily with my family members. I...
