Freedom of and/or from religion is a fundamental human right in some countries across the world. This leads to the emergence of various religions practiced worldwide. This paper seeks to discuss how reinterpretations of doctrinal elements within religious worldviews affect or alter ethical behaviors among religious groups: Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Jainism.
Christianity and Islam buy the same conception of God, and that His paramount attribute is Grace and Divine Mercy. However, Muslims differ in the belief with Christians in essential ways; Islam holds individuals responsible for their sins and do not share beliefs in blood sacrifices. On the other hand, Christianity believes in the original sins and holds descendants responsible for the sins committed by their forefathers Islamic doctrine insinuates that it is not by the good works of believers, but by God's Mercy that they achieve salvation.
