Conservative interpretation of the doctrine
The conservative interpretation of the doctrine maintains full communion with the other protestant denominations and many of the congregations choose to adopt open communion. The church is independent on matters of doctrine and ministry therefore does not necessarily support the national body's theological or moral views. The conservative view is that no hierarchy or body can impose any doctrine or worship to any individual.
Liberal interpretation of the doctrine
The interpretation is always characterized as non propositional; this incorporates an analogy that documents the human author's beliefs about God at the time of creation. The liberal interpretation looks at the bible as a collection of narratives that optimizes the significance of Christian understandings (Simmons, 2010). Liberal Christians are more preferably to read Jesus miracles as metaphorical narratives that are meant for understanding the power of God.
Similarities
In both the conservative and the liberal interpretation of the doctrine God is seen as the head of the church and both believe in the supremacy of Jesus. They both have a view of morality in the society as a core value for the upholding of Christianity. Both the interpretations acknowledge the evolvement of the Christianity growth in the society.
Differences
