The Case for Christ
The documentary, The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel (2017), gives an interesting story of a staunch atheist who decided to embark on a thorough investigation of the existence of Jesus Christ and to establish if he was the son of God or the Messiah. Lesley, Lee's wife, had started going to church, and Lee was not comfortable with it. He was worried that their happy marriage and the family blessed with one daughter was eventually going to crash down because of Lesley's new faith. Unlike Lee, who was entirely opposed to the concept of Jesus as the Messiah and only knew Jesus as "a nice guy, an excellent teacher, but not the Messiah” (2017), Lesley was somehow neutral and did not question much the existence of Jesus. Because of her neutrality, Lesley started going to church, and this made life enormously hard for Lee. Lee's attitude towards Christianity and Jesus changed when he learned that his wife had started having a change of values and developed a positive character. Even though the gospel was written in the first century, long after Jesus Christ, the stories are full of eyewitnesses that did not provide contradicting stories as explained by Mark Strauss, one of the experts approached by Lee (2017). The few instances in the different gospels identified by Lee as contradicting are evidence of the evangelists not colluding and also narrating the stories at different times.
As if not enough, Lee questions the message that has been propagated for many years if it still contained the original content. The experts reveal the different prophecies of the Old Testament that Jesus fulfilled. These answered the question that Lee had posed to the team of experts he ha...
