Male adolescents develop a deeper voice in adolescence, and this gives them confidence and a new identity. Consequently, they are able to interact with their peers freely. Also, male teenagers experience the enlargement of their testicles and penis, giving them confidence and a sense of self-identity and self-esteem (Tanti & La Trobe University, 2009). This makes them boast to the opposite gender of their new development.
