According to trait theorists, the most critical approach that facilitates the understanding of personality is embracing the maxim that people from all walks of life have particular traits or characteristics. Today, the most significant theory psychologists use in personality psychology is the Five Factor Model. Using the Big Five personality factors, the theory hits a middle ground and paves the way for the attainment of an accurate approximation of the various dimensions of the basics of personality (Spielman et al., 2020). The five factors are openness to experience, conscientiousness, extroversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism.
