ABC Third party logistics is a firm based in Miami, Florida providing outsourcing, clearing, and forwarding, logistics services to customers and hence mainly manages to ease movement of goods locally and globally. The company has links to shipping companies that ease the flow of goods. ABC mainly targets the automobile companies which have been underrepresented in the logistics industry. The company already provides services to other industries, but the auto mobile sector has had little focus among business owners. The marketing plan takes into account the customer needs, which may shift and hence it is necessary to respond to customer reactions (Lamb et al., 2008).
The need for car repairs is emphasized by the increased growth in car motor industry, and auto mobile repairs retailers who buy in bulk. Even though the manufacture of automotive parts has been common in the U.S., the shift towards global markets especially in Asia has been on the rise. Therefore, in spite of the auto parts becoming an integral part for automobile retailers, these organizations have limited success on the logistics of moving the parts because of lack of expertise. Thus, North America and China will be the primary target market for the logistics company.
The car and motor industry has undergone various changes in the American market, with manufacture shifting to other countries owing to the low cost of production. Auto part makers are now increasingly relying on importing parts from Canada, Japan and Mexico. Furthermore, the Chinese market has diversified into this sector meaning that American auto part manufacturers have to rely on importation to match the local and global demand.
