In an article “Heavy Use of Mobile Phones Increases Cancer Risk, Study Finds”, by Larry West, the risks of developing sever brain tumors from the use of mobile phones are discussed. West (2010) reports the findings of a comprehensive study on the possibility of developing cancer from long-term use of cell phones. In the study, 4,400 users of mobile phones were used and among them, 2,200 people were cancer patients while the others served as a control group (West, 2010).
