Territoriality affects sales at the domestic and internal level since the legal protections differ depending on the jurisdiction. The interests of consumers are taken into account, even as there is a need to adapt the domestic policies to improve sales. The trademark law is one where the local policies and procedures differ from the international law, while harmonization allows adaptation of the policy setting (Cordero-Moss, 2014).
