Research Purpose
The purpose of this research is to determine whether the Greater Bay Area, which is a unification of the Guangdong Province, Hong Kong, and Macao, has the potential to become the number one regional economy globally.

Research Description
This research is aimed at determining the benefits of economic integration for the three regions in the Greater Bay Area. Since the unification of the three regions in 2015, their collective GDP has grown to $2 trillion or 11% of the combined GDP of mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, and Macao SAR as of 2020. Therefore, this study wants to determine if the Greater Bay Area is capable of becoming the world’s leading region economically.
Key research questions include:
1) Can the Greater Bay Area be the world's number one regional economy after the COVID-19 pandemic recovery?
2) What political, regulatory, and economic constraints influence Greater Bay Area?
3) What recommendations are necessary for Greater Bay Area's economic projection?
The study will use the qualitative research design where data will be gathered primarily through structured interviews. Each interview will take approximately 45 minutes. We don’t anticipate that there are any risks associated with your participation, but you have the right to stop the interview or withdraw from the research at any time.
Thank you for agreeing to be interviewed as part of the above research project. Ethical procedures for academic research undertaken from our institution require that participants explicitly agree to being interviewed and how the information contained in their interview will be used. This consent form is necessary for us to ensure that you understand the purpose of your involvement and that you agree to the conditions of your participation. Would you therefore read the accompanying information sheet and then sign this form to certify that you approve the following:
* The interview will be recorded and a transcript will be produced.
* You will be sent the transcript and given the opportunity to correct any factual errors.
* The transcript of the interview will be analyzed by (name of the researcher) as research investigator.
* Access to the interview transcript will be limited to (name of the researcher) and academic colleagues and researchers with whom he might collaborate as part of the research process.
* Any summary interview content, or direct quotations from the interview, that are made available through academic publication or other academic outlets will be anonymized so that you cannot be identified, and care will be taken to ensure that other information in the interview that could identify yourself is not revealed.
* The actual recording will be on CBU OneDrive for secure storage and ease of access.
* The data will be stored for three months, which is the estimated duration of the project, and then destroyed.
* Any variation of the conditions above will only occur with your further explicit approval.
