Organizations are continuously looking for competitive and skilled workforce that will help them attain their goals. However, employee competency declines as a result of technological advancements that are demanding employees to acquire new skills. As a result, companies have adopted a continuous training routine, which helps their employees to remain at par with the new advancements in the industry. A needs analysis is used to assess the training needs of an organization, prior to conducting a training program (HR-Guide, 2015). Needs analysis helps in identifying the employees who need training as well as the specific training required. Additionally, needs analysis helps in the effective use of organizational resources as the company focuses only on the identified sectors requiring training. (HR-Guide, 2015)
