According to the Society of Human Resource Management (2023), a culture based on shared values anchored on strategy and structure is a prerequisite for organizational success. Strategy is the roadmap that guides the organization towards an anticipated desired goal amid increasing customer demands, business competition, and other external industry variables. Based on this assertion, culture can be conceptualized as a strategy for addressing internal business issues based on organizational values. While strategy offers the tactical logic for the organization's goals and aligns employees around them, culture ensures the attainment of the strategy by creating a system of shared values and beliefs within the firm's executive tier, which are then shared and embraced across the organization. This way, culture influences employees' acceptance of the strategic initiative, thus preventing resistance and hurdles to successful strategy implementation.
