Information-seeking behavior entails the ability of finding, understanding, and dealing with information. In particular, it is a social behavior that occurs when people realize that they should acquire contextual information and use it to take specific actions to address certain needs (Gordon, Cameron, Chaves, & Hutchinson, 2020).
