Time unconsciousness is one of the significant barriers to success. Studies have shown that individuals with poor time management skills are less productive because, in most cases, they fail to accomplish some of their essential tasks. Psychologists refer to this vice as planning fallacy. The planning fallacy is a condition where one underestimates the time that a specific job requires to be completed. Research has shown that an average human being commonly minimizes the time taken for completing tasks by 30% to 40%. However, various strategies have been established to help individuals to become more organized and even more successful. Some of the best policies that stand out include conducting prior planning of the day and unpacking the tasks in smaller portions to establish how long which, the job will take.
The first preferred strategy, which is establishing a plan, requires one individual to plan his or her day earlier before the day starts. This strategy also involves creating a list of the day’s tasks and selecting the functions that are likely to impact positively in one’s life. This way, an individual gets to identify which tasks to complete first, depending on the productivity nature.
