Technology, skills and various variables within the market of business operation make it necessary to arm the employees with the latest skills and practices within their professions. As a result, organizations have found themselves in the position of having to focus on a training design on an employee, who is actually expected to complete some specified task. This approach has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Focusing training on employees is more efficient and time-saving. A lot of energy is spent on liaising with organizational management due to the bureaucracy within the leadership structures (Weston, Ferris, & Finkelstein, 2017). As a result, trainers spend a great deal of time filing papers and holding discussions with various managerial stakeholders during the planning stage. Focusing a design model on the employees ensures that such bottlenecks are eliminated, and that the employees undergo the entire training as planned. Employee focused training is much more profession-specific. Offering general training to all employees might not be very efficient since it lacks the ability to address specialized personnel within the organization (Hagstrom & Backstrom, 2017).
