The major driving forces which contributed to the people's sacrifice in the formation of unions include employers overlooking problems of employees, unsafe work regulations, unfair wages and dealing with employees unethically. The workers felt dissatisfied with the employee's behaviour, particularly involving discrimination, which led towards unionization (Seaquist, 2015). The employees think that their job will be secured and they will enjoy an increase in their bargaining power by forming unions. In certain situations, the formation of unions was worth it as the unions were able to pressurize the employer to provide fringe benefits to the employees and increase their rewards.
