His desire to ensure perfection in training and education programs began a long time ago, but it was in 1994 that he decided to publish Evaluating Training Programs: The Four Levels. In this book, he provides details of the four levels which can be used to evaluate a training program and hence the evolution of the Kirkpatrick Four Level Evaluation Model. Therefore, a simple and brief explanation of the Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Evaluation is a model that is used to assess and evaluate the “results of training and educational programs” (Forest, 2018). This model considers all training styles and determines the appropriateness and effectiveness of each based on the four levels.
