You will submit a well-written paper that includes the interview transcript and a one-page comparison/contrast of the views of the person interviewed and yourself. In the paper, discuss how this generation's belief in conflict/negotiation differs from that of other generations. Finally, highlight a theory that may be new/different today.
The transcript can be written in a Q&A format; however, your comparison should be written in complete sentences. Make sure to include at least 10 questions.

Interview Transcript
Me: Olivia, good morning?
Olivia: I am okay. I hope you are doing well.
Me: I was a pretty time too. I am happy to hear that you are doing well. Today is the day that we had scheduled our interview as per our previous conversation. I hope you recall this.
Olivia: Yes, the interview on conflict and negotiation?
Me: Yes, it is my pleasure to introduce you to the interview. I hope you are ready.
Olivia: Yes
Me: How often do you encounter conflict in the course of your work?
Olivia: Many times, I have often disagreed with my intermediate manager and my colleagues. I cannot even recall even some instances because they are too many.
Me: What kind of issues puts you in a conflict with your workmates and immediate managers? The unrealistic demands that revolve around performance have put me at loggerheads with my manager. I have various clashes with my colleagues due to religious, cultural, and personality incompatibility. At work, conflict sometimes tends to emerge inevitably, especially when we lack proper coordination and organization in terms of roles and responsibilities. We engaged in heated contestations when our roles overlap, and we are not in a position to know the specific person who is supposed to hand a given task.
Me: Do such conflicts affect the performance of your organization?
Olivia: whenever there is any conflict, the employees and the organization are equally affected negatively. In a few incidences, it has led to ugly scenarios like fistfights, brawls, and violence. As a result, we become frustrated, and our work productively drops.
Me: in light of such problems, do you feel that you, workmates, and your managers need some training on the management of conflict in your workplace?
Olivia: Absolutely, everyone deserves such training or any other form of awareness.
Me: You have talked in great length about the adverse impact of conflicts in the workplace. Does conflict have any positive impact in the workplace?
Olivia: Conflicts have, in some instances, made us brainstorm, innovate and find better ways to navigate through existing challenges. Conflicts have led us to find better alternative ideas and strategies for problem-solving.
Me: That is quite surprising; I did expect that there is a positive story of workplace conflict. Besides that, I find it necessary to have skills that aid us in solving conflicts. How do you deal with conflict?
Olivia: I have encountered diverse conflicts in my workplace, and out of these, I have learned and got experience in some of the ways to deal with conflict. I see effective communication as a crucial skill in dealing with conflict. Conflicts are avoided if we listen more, understand the messages, and contextualized any form of communication, ether is written, non-verbal, or oral. You will need to listen and understand other people’s p...
