The global supply chain is a created network between the different worldwide companies that mainly involves producing, handling and distributing specific products. Over the years, supply of chains has gradually evolved in an incredible way, whereby initially the all idea of supply chain consists of delivering of product from the supplier then to merchandise without exploiting the chain supply which was likely to improve the margin and profits in different creative ways. ‘‘The global chain supply increases speed in the market, lowers cost of goods and creates long term supply chain capability’’ (Peter and Gibbons, 2015). The scope of global supply operations, tend to gradually increase hence firms expanding their global footprint. This include removal of the raw materials, sourcing, then the transportation process, channel of distribution and finally delivery to the customers. However, not all regions are likely to consider supply chain operations. However in order for a company to be more competitive, it has to overcome the tremendous challenges of the current international trading environment. ‘‘The global chains will primarily have to deal with the specific challenges that are present instead of working with one regular international supply chain’’, (Stank and Theodore, 2015). Companies that work with an international footprint despite of expanse and sites, mainly use supply chain management as a function. When a company decides to go outside its internal market, it has to know the way on how it will be able to manage the supply chain in the region it operates. There is no doubt that a company located in one nation depends on another company which is from another nation as well for distribution of goods.
