Strategic supply management can create value for a company; business professionals are aware of the importance of creating value, especially by using innovative technology like the e-procurement. Manufacturing and distribution companies in various industries are constantly seeking to create a high profile supply management to boost the company's visibility (Wisner, Tan & Leong, 2014). The supply chain is a process that involves a network that provides distribution options for raw and finished materials to reach the end customers using different distribution channels (Wisner, Tan & Leong, 2014).
The process for enabling goods and services to reach the end user is known as the e-procurement. E-procurement is more than just an online platform for transactions; it is a process that offers an organized channel that is open for communication with potential suppliers (Wisner, Tan & Leong, 2014).
