Sales experts and professionals are people who are expected to be honest, and their interests are for the benefit of their customers. Many salespersons maintain integrity while dealing with their customers. However, some sales representatives fall into ethical traps without dire intentions or without being malicious. That creates some problems that end up tarnishing the name of the sales representative as well as the company itself. Some common ethical issues in sales include misleading customers, overpricing, failing to honor commitments, and blaming someone else. The purpose of this assignment is to discuss my take on the importance of a sales role. Furthermore, I will discuss if stretching the truth is acceptable and how sales reps can respond to unethical practices.
