In the Bible, the book of Ephesians chapter 5 verses 6 to 9 urges servants to be obedient and respectful to their masters. Servants are instructed to act with real intention and avoid providing eye-service to their masters. Masters are too encouraged to be respectful to their servants and to have in mind that for every deed we shall be rewarded by the Lord. Servants are further notified that their master is the Lord in heaven who watches over everyone’s actions and He shall, in the end, reward us all for our actions (Bruce, W., 2017).
Just as expressed in the Bible, the employer – employee relationship ought to be ethically and legally sound. The worker and employer have specific responsibilities, duties, and liabilities so as to respect the employment relationship. In a working relationship, there exists a legal link between the employer and the employee – who both have a responsibility and duty towards one another to enable a successful and ethically sound bond (Dau-Schmidt, K. G., et.al., 2016).
