The human rights are the norms that exist to protect all individuals from severe, social, and legal abuse. The human rights are supposed to apply to persons from all walks of life, including religion, political affiliations, social backgrounds, and cultural differences. The different cultures may affect the human rights of individuals in different areas. For instance, Asia has so many cultures that it might need a different set of human rights other than the common international human right standards (Nickel, 2012). However, in most cases, the human rights apply to all the people despite their cultural differences. According to the global perception, the human rights must take precedence over any demand for cultural rights (Kirmayer, 2012). Primarily, the implementation of the human rights may be more complicated in parallelism with the cultural norms. Therefore, the respect for cultural diversity and the need to implement human rights to observe personal well-being and human dignity cannot be ignored.
