At any given situation people become leaders. People attain leadership roles at different environments and circumstances. However, many factors determine the success of a forerunner, especially when it comes to co-operate success. One of these factors is communication. Effective communication abilities are fundamental when it comes to organization success (Luthra and Dahiya, 2015). If members of an institute work in harmony and efficiently the chances are that the aspect emanates from good communication. How staffs within a firm relate determines whether the plan will run effectively or fraught with difficulties. Thus, communication defines the success of a company. Besides, communication strategies determine the success of a leader. To achieve victory, the spearhead must be an effective and convincing communicator. Henceforth, the study moves forward focusing on the impact of communication on leadership.
As per many researchers, leadership is a process of taking responsibility, directing, encouraging or stimulating others to achieve a common goal (Luthra and Dahiya, 2015). Thus, leaders have the ability to convince their followers and make them work towards a co-operate goal. This reveals communication as an important key to the leader’s success. Besides, leaders have to step up and mentor or motivate others towards achieving the company’s objective. Hence, to become a great leader one ought to be a good communicator. Strategies towards effective communication include listening, facilitating communication, questioning, directing and giving feedback (Caraballo, (2013).
