Change is an important aspect of a state and organization in particular. We all know that change is inevitable and the process can be described to be gradual in some cases. The change ensures that we shift away from our old ways and embrace new methods of how we undertake our activities. NASA failed to prevent disaster in Columbia because of some reasons. To begin with, cultural differences could be among the reasons as to why NASA failed to counter the disaster that took place in Columbia (Howell, 2013). Cultural differences usually act as barriers towards the achievement of change in the society. On the other hand, communication can be another reason as to why NASA failed to accomplish their mandate. Lack of sufficient exchanges in an organization could lead to failure because of the poor coordination that arises where employees cannot collaborate in the best way.
