Introduction
The mutagens can be referred to as a chemical or physical agent that utilizes the Deoxyribonucleic acid of the organism, which results in enhancing the frequency of the mutation. The presence of large frequency of mutations results in causing cancer. There is also a likelihood that mutagens are carcinogens (Akhtar et al., 2018; Younus and Bhatti, 2017). The mutagens contain mutational signatures and some other chemical components (Ulusu, 2019). The cellular processes contribute to developing mutagens that may contain a virus. The spontaneous mutations may be caused by Deoxyribonucleic acid replication, recombination and hydrolysis.
Background Information
The origins of exposure and cancer come from specific genes that can alter and damage human cells functions. An external or internal source does not influence a few of the genetic changes. They can be a result of natural genetic occurrences in the human body and Deoxyribonucleic acid. According to experts, on numerous occasions, it has been observed that excessive exposure to the external environment can result in damaging Deoxyribonucleic acid (Herceg et al., 2018). The external exposures can be of different types like radiation, tobacco smoke and ultraviolet rays.
Literature Review
According to Su et al. (2018), oral cancer is a critical disease that is caused in the neck and head area of the human body. Environmental carcinogens and genetic components influence the occurrence of oral cancer. It is important to note that not all carcinogens are mutagens. Endothelial nitric oxide synthase is a carcinogen that is a mutagen to a carcinogen that is not a mutagen. The endothelial nitric oxide synthase modulates progression and carcinogenesis via nitric oxide.
According to Hecht et al. (2017), cigarette smoking has many negative impacts on the health of both male and female. Smoking causes lung cancer in men and female. The males are most affected by smoking as 24 percent of males get affected by smoking and result in causing cancer. Lung cancer is caused by 11 percent of women due to cigarette smoking. The male and female genders are susceptible to negative and carcinogenic effects caused by smoking. The persons that smoke regularly are more likely to be affected by the intensive level of tumor and lung cancer.
According to Niehoff et al. (2019), air toxics are majorly associated with the occurrence of breast cancer and receptor-positive. The women that are overweight and facing obesity problems are more likely to be affected by air toxics. The carcinogenic air toxins are interconnected with breast cancer.
According to Sanderson et al. (2017), the exposure margins and cancer risks present to a human depends on the different categories of carcinogens. The extreme benzo(a)pyrene exposure is associated with increasing the risks of cancer. Trinitrotoluene exposure also causes health concerns for individuals. Most of the risks associated with benzo(a)pyrene and trinitrotoluene are oral. The bronchus cancer and lung cancer are most likely to be caused to adults by exposure of trinitrotoluene and benzo(a)pyrene.
