Apple’s Core Case Study
The Apple’s core case study is a defining story of one of the big tech companies globally that is involved in not only design and developing but also selling consumer electronics and computer software. It provides the humble beginnings of the founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. The case study highlighted different decisions that the founders were subjected with including interests in running companies, assignment of jobs, getting investors, and the target market among others. While Wozniak brought and heavily supported the engineering aspects of the partnership that eventually formed Apple Inc., Jobs’ business acumen, marketing and negotiations skills were fundamental. However, partnerships are prone to problems and conflicts between the partners. The major problem in the assigned case study relates to the unethical attributes of Steve Jobs. Particularly, the problem arose when Jobs failed to share equally the proceeds of an assignment they had received from Atari. Wozniak who thought that they had been paid $700 to design and develop the computer game called Break Out only came to learn that Jobs had infact been paid more than that seven years later (Wasserman, 2011). By that time the two had founded Apple Inc. despite a few challenges here and there and the company was enjoying tremendous success. The focus of the case study is therefore whether Wozniak should stay in Apple Inc. and the partnership with Steve Jobs, vote out Jobs or leave the company.
The problem identified above pertaining to the case study is connected to the course concept of busine
